After almost 20 years in beautiful Westphalia, Dr. Michael Peters<\/strong> moved to the tumultuous Berlin to study shortly after the fall of the Wall. He studied Medicine first at the Free University<\/strong> and later at Humboldt University<\/strong>, interrupted only by a semester abroad as part of an Erasmus scholarship in the Spanish capital Madrid<\/strong>, and another stint abroad at Hammersmith Hospital in London<\/strong>.<\/p>

Already during his studies, he began his experimental thesis in the field of gastroenterological oncology<\/strong>. After completing his studies, he worked and researched at the Charit\u00e9 in Berlin, the largest university hospital in Europe. Michael Peters completed his medical doctorate in 2002 with the highest grade of “summa cum laude” and received the Robert Koch Prize<\/strong> for the best dissertation of the year at the Charit\u00e9.<\/p>

After this period of intense research, he focused in the following years on clinical training as a specialist in Internal Medicine<\/strong> in 2005 and as a gastroenterologist<\/strong> in 2007.<\/p>

That same year, he became a senior physician at the Jewish Hospital in Berlin, and in 2009, he was appointed Chief of Internal Medicine with specialties in Gastroenterology and Diabetology. After extremely successful and happy years, and with the birth of his daughter, he decided to leave Berlin and move to Andalusia, his wife’s homeland.<\/p>

On the way, the family made a stop in New Zealand in 2012, where Dr. Peters worked at Timaru Hospital and was appointed Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at New Zealand’s oldest university (University of Otago, Dunedin).<\/p>

Since early 2013, he has been established as a gastroenterologist in the center of Marbella<\/strong><\/a> and has been working at the German Clinic Marbella since 2018.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
